Vintage Industries Ltd

Vintage Industries Ltd was founded in 2012, beginning with our top selling brand – Vintage Lighting – providing vintage industrial styled light shades, lamps, light bulbs and lighting accessories. We are a quality lighting company which draws on unique and traceable products from all corners of the globe. Our love of all things nautical inspired our next venture – Vintage Marine – sourcing genuine, salvaged ship items. We strip, clean and polish them into the beautiful products you see today. This can be a heart-breaking import at times, definitely not for the faint hearted, but worth it! Our business continues to evolve and we have now branched out into our third brand – Vintage Décor. We are very excited about the developments in this sector, so watch this space!

Steve comes from a joinery background, successfully running his own business for many years before beginning Vintage Industries. As a tradesman he developed a good eye for quality and has high standards. Tracey spent her previous years working in the retail and hospitality industries, both in New Zealand and London. Her positions in management and keen eye for detail are a true asset to the business. When Steve started the business both were working full-time, but as the business continued to grow, Steve decided to devote his time entirely to Vintage Industries with Tracey coming on board full-time in 2014.

How did your business begin?

Vintage Industries started in 2012 out of a 1 bedroom flat importing Vitreous Enamel Light Shades which rapidly turned into sourcing quality lighting componentry and designer bulbs for various clients throughout NZ and the South Pacific. Recently moving into a bigger premise in New Plymouth we have expanded into salvage marine lighting, industrial European lighting & furniture with the hope of growing even bigger to cater for our ever growing customer base.

What gets you up in the morning?

I genuinely love my business and the direction we are going so it’s keeping it fresh that gets me up in the morning!

When you're not working you are

Having a new born son is keeping me on my toes and super busy! Living on the west coast we get some pretty sweet surf so I like to spend time in the water in between family.
